Legionella


Our square, wide-mouthed sample jars are highly suitable for legionella analyses, and are available in different volume sizes. These sample jars comply with the international guidelines for sampling techniques in the context of microbiological analyses.
The HDPE jars are sterilised and contain sodium thiosulphate pentahydrate as a preservative. The jars are also provided with guaranteed closures.

In addition to the above-mentioned sample jars, our legionella range also consists of sterile glass bead jars and membrane filters. Te hese disposables are used for lab analysis purposes. 

The so-called 'washing method' involves the use of a polycarbonat (PC) filter membrane and a glass bead jar. This filter is available in different diameters and with different pore sizes. 

Direct plating involves the use of a mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membrane filter. Dispolab Nederland is pleased to be able to supply every type of MCE membrane filter possible.  
MCE membrane filters are made from cellulose acetate fibers (CA) and cellulose nitrate fibers (CN). The addition of CA gives an MCE membrane filter a smoother and more homogeneous surface than a CN membrane filter. Bacteria are captured by the filter better as a result. 

The disposables above are in compliance with international standards, because of which they also support NEN 6265:2007, NEN-EN-ISO 19458:2007 and, of course, the new NEN-ISO 11731 standard.
